Joining the club
Important note for competitive wrestlers:
To compete in any BWA competitions you must apply for separate BWA individual membership for competition insurance cover. Click here for the application form. See the BWA website for details of fees.
Who can be a member of our club?
Everyone is welcome to apply for membership.
What do I get as a member?
- Block membership to the British Wrestling Association (BWA) Ltd
- BWA 3rd party insurance cover to practise active wrestling (does not cover BWA competition participation)
- Access to participate in all events of our club and our affiliated groups
- Privilege discount to all club events and souvenir sales
Ok, I'm interested ... so how do I join?
- Take a look at our practice schedule and decide which first session you want to come to.
- Ring us in advance so that we will be expecting you and also allow us to advise security. Please DO NOT simply turn up!
- When you come, you will be asked to complete a membership form and a face photo will be taken at the practice which will be used to process your membership should you decide to join us. Click here to download our club's membership form ... or fill one in when you turn up.
Make sure you bring both of the following IDs on your first visit:
- An Official Photo ID e.g passport, driving licence or any recognised EEC id card
- A proof of residence/address, e.g. council tax bill, utility bill, passport, or driving licence which must bear your full name to your current address.
Why all these security conditions?
- to ensure we have genuine responsible members
- enable us to identify anyone banned from our club from reapplying
- be able to contact your next of kin should we need to
- to endorse you are who you say you are and live where you say you do.
