Winter 2008 Tournament and End-of-year Bash

This year we have decided to hold our tournament and End-of-Year party together at the sports hall, rather than dining at a separate venue. Hopefully this should encourage as many of our members to attend both as possible.

What:	Olympic Freestyle Wrestling Tournament Followed by End of Year Club Bash

When:	Saturday 6th December 2008 Weigh-in at 11:30 Tournament from 12:00 to 15:00 End of Year Bash from 15:30 to 18:00
How much?	Costs of participation in the tournament and/or the bash: Brighton members - FREE London members and supporters - £10 Guest Participants - £10 Guest Spectators - £12

Tournament Rules and Attire

Shorts, & wrestling boots minimum. Other than that, the usual LAW rules for training dress, hygiene, etc all apply as usual.

The tournament will be using Novice Rules:

• One bout
• Pin wins
• Throw 3 points
• Take down 2 points
• Turns 1 point
• First participant to get 6 points wins the bout.
• Decision of Referree is final

Participants will compete in the following weight categories:

• 55kg and below
• 75kg and below
• 85kg and below
• 90kg and below

The End of Year Club Bash

We hope to end the tournament by 1500hrs after which participants will have 30 minutes to shower and refresh themselves.

Supporters will assist in turning the hall into a social bash and lay out the buffet.

Self catered food (South East Asian including vegetarian) will be served Soft drinks will be served but bring your own "stronger" beverage.
